Important Information - Prospective NWFSC Distance Learning Students
Important Note for Prospective Students: If you are considering an academic program that leads to a professional degree and/or license in your state, it is highly recommended that you first seek guidance from the appropriate agency in your home state BEFORE beginning the academic program located outside your state. Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) students residing outside the State of Florida who desire to resolve a grievance are encouraged to follow the NWFSC Student Grievance Process found in the NWFSC Student Handbook.
If an issue cannot be resolved internally, a complaint may be filed with the State of Florida College System, NWFSC's accrediting agency, NWFSC's institutional accreditation agency, or the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in a student’s state.

Institutions offering distance education must provide enrolled and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accrediting agency and with the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in the student's state. Students enrolled in online classes at NWFSC who reside out-of-state should follow the formal resolution process noted earlier in this section of Consumer Information. Online students have the same rights and responsibilities as those students enrolled in on-campus courses.
